The White Horse of Kilburn Britain's largest white horse was cut from the limestone hillside in 1857 by volunteers led by a local schoolmaster. Situated on the South West facing steep slope of Roulston Scar just north of Kilburn village, it is a distinctive landmark visible for many miles around.
